F**kedcompany founder in financing news

News about a funding for an advertising technology company run by Phil Kaplan aka Pud of F**uckedcompany. This is quite amusing. Apparently it's a solid technology, but I can't help wondering what the German equivalent might be. "Don Alphonso starts internet content syndicator play" perhaps ;-)

Very large emails

This is just what I needed earlier this week: Dropload
lets you transfer large (up to 100MB) files, and makes it accessible to anyone with an email-address. Firmly in the "duh - why did nobody think of that before" category ;-).

Misc Musings

  • Today I received a christmas card from a business associate. It's quite amusing how long it can take or how late (?) some people send it ;-)
  • I really wanted to go to David Isen's WTF last year, so perhaps I manage FTC this year.

cipio buys infineon portfolio

Infineon Ventures' portfolio has been sold to Cipio Partners for a "middling, two digit million sum". After the surprising announcement in October that operations will be discontinued, the buyers seemed to have been queueing out the door and around the building, allegedly with up to twenty interested parties. Now the local boys snapped it up.

Weltmarktführer

Through distributing the film startup.com in Germany I met a lot of interesting people. For instance, Klaus Stern rang me up, to talk about his new documentary "Weltmarktführer". Its done in the style of a fly-on-the wall documentary without commentary about Tan Siekmann, the former founder and CEO of Biodata. From what I've heard it should be amusing. According to the film's website, former shareholders of Biodata get free entry ;-)
